We are glad you stopped by for a visit. For almost 200 hundred years the Buckhorn Inn has been offering its unique and warm hospitality to guests.
A Shenandoah Valley landmark located in Churchville, Virginia, The Buckhorn was built circa 1811 as Buckhorn Tavern. Buckhorn Tavern was renowned for music, dances, whiskey and “high class gambling.”
Now, The Buckhorn Inn is known for comfortable lodging and catering events, all in a historic country setting.
Even though it’s history is 200 years long, it is surprising how little is actually known about The Buckhorn. There are, however, many stories that have been passed on, stories about the owners and patrons alike. What people do remember is the warmth and hospitality that the old place seems to emit.
